Badlapur School Case News: Local train services were stopped at the Central railway station where protesters agitated against the alleged sexual assault incident with two minor girl child at a school in Badlapur, CPRO Central Railway said on Tuesday.

Two 4-year-old girls studying in the pre-primary classes of a prominent co-ed school in Badlapur were allegedly sexually assaulted by a 23-year-old male cleaning staff member inside a girls’ toilet.

The assault took place on 12-13 August, 2024, when the girls, who go for morning classes, had gone to use the toilet. No female staff were appointed by the school for the girls’ toilets. The accused, Akshay Shinde, was appointed on August , 2024 on contractual basis, and took advantage of being in charge of cleaning the girls’ toilets to sexually exploit the minor girls.

Recently, a 14-year-old girl died following an alleged rape by her teacher in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. This incident comes amid national outrage over the recent rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata.

The victim, who lived in a village in the Duddhi area, passed away at Banaras Hindu University Hospital in Varanasi, where she had been receiving treatment for 20 days. The accused, identified as Vishambar, a sports instructor at her school, is currently on the run.

According to family members, Vishambar had invited the girl to a sports event on December 30 last year, after which he assaulted her at his home. Fearing disgrace, the victim did not reveal the incident to her family for some time and her health began to deteriorate.

In an effort to seek help, she was later sent to Chhattisgarh to stay with relatives. However, her condition did not improve. Eventually, she confided in her aunt about the assault, prompting her admission to the hospital.
