Amid the significant internal crisis caused by a widespread rebellion among lawmakers, the Trinamool Congress has officially submitted a new list of office bearers and national working committee members. The official submission claims that Mamata Banerjee remains the rightful and sole chairperson of the All India Trinamool Congress.

Sources said on Tuesday that the list submitted to the Election Commission details the party's organisational structure as of June 20, 2026. The list brings on record the party's official hierarchy amid ongoing claims over control of the party.

Who Are There In The List?

The list names Subrata Bakshi as Vice President, and Abhishek Banerjee is designated as the National General Secretary, with an indirect recognition as the party's Lok Sabha leader. Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien and Dola Sen have been designated as joint secretaries, while Subhasish Chakraborty retains his post as party treasurer.

The National Working Committee includes Mamata Banerjee, Subrata Bakshi, Abhishek Banerjee, Derek O'Brien, Dola Sen, and Subhasish Chakraborty. Other members include Chandrima Bhattacharya, Amit Mitra, Rajesh Pati Tripathi, Asima Patra, Moloy Ghatak, Gautam Deb, Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, Bulu Chik Baraik, Mukul Sangma, Baiswanor Chattopadhyay, Birbaha Hansda, Kalyan Banerjee, Saugata Roy, Nadimul Haque, Madan Mitra, Biman Banerjee, Mahua Moitra, and Kunal Ghosh.

Meanwhile, Chandrima Bhattacharya is listed as a member of the National Working Committee and West Bengal TMC president, while Shobhandeb Chattopadhyay is listed as a member and leader in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly.

Rebel Group Names Arup Roy As President

The list comes a day after a rebel faction headed by West Bengal Leader of Opposition Ritabrata Banerjee named senior leader Arup Roy as chairperson of "Real" Trinamool Congress, intensifying the battle for control of the party.

The rebel party then claimed that they would be pleased to welcome the veteran leader Mamata Banerjee as its "chief advisor" if she wished to join them. " Members unanimously elected Arup Roy as chairperson. If Mamata Banerjee wants to be our chief adviser, she is most welcome, Ritabrata Banerjee said.

According to Banerjee, the party's constitution requires the formation of a national working committee every three years, and the last such committee was constituted in February 2022. The rebel camp said that the organisational structure was not renewed after its tenure expired.
