Air Chief Marshal AP Singh went all guns blazing against Pakistan and termed its claims of downing Indian fighter jets during the four-day military confrontation in May, as "Manohar Kahaniyan" (fabricated stories). Pakistan has time and again claimed that its army shot down at least 6 Indian fighter jets, including Rafale jets, during the conflict, which began after India's precision strikes on terror camps in its territory following the dastardly Pahalagam terror attack in April.
Addressing the 93rd Air Force Day celebrations, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh said there was no evidence to support Pakistan's claims, while India had shared images of damage caused to Pakistani targets. "Pakistan's narrative is 'Manohar Kahaniyan'. Let them be happy, after all, they also have to show something to their audience to save their reputation. That doesn't matter to me."
Exposing Pakistan's hollow claims, the Air Chief Marshal asserted that such claims were made only to save face and mislead their public. "If they think they shot down 15 of my jets, let them think about it. I hope they're convinced about it, and they will cater for 15 fewer aircraft in my inventory when they come to fight again. So why should I talk about it?, he said.

However, the Air Chief Marshal refused to specify the losses incurred by India and left it to the Pakistani side to find out. "Even today, I won't say anything about what happened, how much damage was done, how it happened, because let them find out," he said.
"Have you seen a single picture where something fell on any of our airbases, something hit us, a hangar was destroyed, or anything like that? We showed so many pictures of their places. However, they couldn't show us even a single picture," Singh asserted.

What Pakistan Lost During Operation Sindoor?
Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh further detailed the damage inflicted on Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, asserting that multiple high-value assets were destroyed in the strikes. "As far as Pakistan’s losses are concerned, we struck a large number of their airfields and installations, including radars, command centres, runways, hangars, and fighter aircraft," Singh said.
- 4–5 fighter jets destroyed on the ground, most likely F-16s
- 1 C-130 class aircraft damaged
- Possibly 1 AEW&C or high-value surveillance aircraft destroyed
- Radars damaged at four locations
- Command and control centres hit at two bases
- Runways damaged at two locations
- Three hangars destroyed at three different airbases
- 1 surface-to-air missile (SAM) system destroyed

According to Singh, the IAF’s precision strikes and long-range missile systems not only caused significant material losses but also prevented Pakistan from operating effectively within its own airspace during the operation. He added that Pakistan’s "high-tech fighters" of the F-16 and JF-17 class were among those targeted, while India’s advanced long-range SAMs ensured Pakistan’s aircraft could not operate freely "even within its own territory."
