In a shocking twist in the murder case of former merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput, new CCTV footage has emerged showing him riding a bike with a friend in Meerut, just hours before his alleged murder by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, on March 4.

The video, recorded at 11:49 pm on March 3, captures Saurabh and his friend entering a narrow street. Mere hours later, Saurabh was allegedly drugged and stabbed to death by Muskan, with assistance from Sahil. In a gruesome attempt to hide the crime, the couple reportedly dismembered his body, sealed it in a drum, and filled it with cement.

Murder Followed by a Vacation

After committing the crime, Muskan and Sahil left for a 10-day trip to Himachal Pradesh. Upon their return, police arrested the duo and placed them in judicial custody.

Saurabh had recently returned from London, where he worked, and had been married to Muskan since 2016. The couple shared a six-year-old daughter.

According to the investigation, Muskan and Sahil began plotting the murder in November 2023 to remove Saurabh from their lives and be together. On the night of the murder, Saurabh was allegedly drugged until unconscious. Taking advantage of his condition, Muskan stabbed him in the chest three times with extreme force—a detail confirmed by the autopsy report.

Attempts to Cover Up the Crime

After killing Saurabh, the couple booked a cab and left for their mountain vacation. During this period, Muskan attempted to mislead his family by sending messages from his phone, pretending he was still alive. Disturbingly, the couple was also spotted attending a Holi party, which later surfaced in a viral video.

The murder was exposed on March 18, when Saurabh’s family filed a missing person report, prompting a police investigation that eventually led to the arrest of Muskan and Sahil.

In a dramatic turn, Muskan’s own parents have demanded capital punishment for their daughter, expressing outrage over the brutal killing.

The case continues to unfold as police investigate further details surrounding the premeditated murder and the couple’s attempt to evade justice.
