In a horrifying crime that has shaken Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a woman & her lover allegedly murdered her husband, dismembered his body, and sealed the remains in a cement-filled drum before going on a vacation, police revealed on Tuesday.

 

The victim, Saurabh Rajput (29), a merchant navy employee, was reported missing on March 4. After his disappearance, the Indira Nagar Police launched an investigation, Additional Superintendent of Police Ayush Vikram Singh confirmed.

Police detained Muskan (27), Saurabh's wife, and her lover Sahil (25) on suspicion. Under interrogation, the duo confessed to the brutal murder.

Murder, Dismemberment & a Vacation

According to police reports, on March 4, Muskan and Sahil stabbed Saurabh to death. They then chopped up his body, placed the remains in a drum, and sealed it with cement to hide the evidence.

Shockingly, after committing the murder, Muskan allegedly tried to mislead Saurabh’s family by sending messages from his phone. She and Sahil then left for a vacation at a hill station, pretending nothing had happened.

Love Marriage Ends in Tragedy

Saurabh and Muskan had a love marriage in 2016, but their families were reportedly against the relationship. The couple had been living separately in Indiranagar Phase 1 with their three-year-old daughter.

The police have now recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. A case has been registered based on a complaint from Saurabh’s family. Both Muskan and Sahil have been arrested and will face legal proceedings.
