A day after walking out of the Tihar Jail, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal conducted two roadshows in the national capital amid the ongoing Lok Sabha polls. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief claimed on Saturday that an INDIA bloc government will be formed at the Centre and the Aam Aadmi Party will be a part of it, following which Delhi will be accorded full statehood. He said this while holding a roadshow with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in the Krishna Nagar area in support of AAP East Delhi Lok Sabha candidate Kuldeep Kumar. He also held a roadshow earlier in the day in Mehrauli. 

"On June 4, the INDIA bloc government will be formed and AAP will also have representation at the Centre. The long pending demand of Delhiites will be fulfilled and we will give statehood to Delhi and make our own LG. God has given me 21 days. I will work 24 hours, travel across the country to end this dictatorship," said Kejriwal.

- Arvind Kejriwal said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is saying that they need 400 seats because it wants to change the constitution and impose dictatorship. 

- "They (BJP) are saying that they need 400 seats. Someone asked why you need 400 seats they said that they had to do some big work later. It came to be known that they want to change the Constitution and end reservation. We will die but not allow them to end democracy and impose dictatorship," he said.

- According to news agency PTI, a sea of yellow and blue flags, blaring music and a narrow lane packed with people - these were the scenes at Kejriwal's first roadshow in South Delhi. Similar scenes were witnessed at Kejriwal's second roadshow later in the day in East Delhi's Krishna Nagar in support of AAP candidate Kuldeep Kumar.

- As soon as Kejriwal's convoy arrived at the venue, kids were seen standing in a row on the rooftop of a monument carrying posters with messages such as "Welcome back Kejriwal ji", "We love Kejriwal," and "Tiger is back" written on them.

- Several buses packed with AAP supporters from across Delhi were brought for the roadshow, and there were a significant number of women, many of them carrying toddlers on their waists, and the elderly, all cheering for Kejriwal and flaunting the party flags.

- Kejriwal also claimed that the BJP would be defeated in the Lok Sabha polls in Punjab and Delhi. He also accused the saffron party of trying to halt the AAP government's work, which he saw as a threat to democracy. He also urged the people to support him in his fight against the BJP's dictatorship.

- On Friday, AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal received a big relief from the Supreme Court, which granted him interim bail until June 1 in the excise policy case.

- Kejriwal spent over 50 days in Tihar Jail after being arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in an excise policy case on March 21.

- Kejriwal has to surrender to the authorities on June 2. The Delhi CM can participate in the poll campaigning but cannot attend his office as Chief Minister.

- The Lok Sabha polls on all seven parliamentary seats in Delhi will be held in a single phase on May 25. The counting of the votes will be done on June 4.
