Meghalaya Honeymoon Case: The murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, a newly married man from Madhya Pradesh's Indore, has created massive outrage across the country. Raja was killed on his honeymoon trip to Shillong last month, and the murder was plotted by his wife, Sonam and her lover, Raj. The police have arrested Sonam, Raj and his three friends. Enraged by the incident, a man slapped one of the accused at Indore airport when he was being taken to Shillong by the Meghalaya Police.
In the viral video, when the man saw the accused of Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder, he lost his temper and slapped him. The incident took place at Indore's Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport. The police were taking the accused in Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder case for further investigation. When the accused walked past the man, the man could be seen slapping him on the cheek.

Indore Police Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dandotia said that the Meghalaya Police, with the four accused, Raj Kushwaha, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi, were headed for Shillong. Sonam Raghuvanshi, wife of Raja Raghuvanshi, has already been taken there.
The investigation is underway after Sonam and Raja went missing from their Shillong honeymoon trip. The couple reportedly went on their honeymoon on May 20 and went missing from May 23. A few days later, on June 2, Raja’s body was found in a deep gorge, and Sonam surrendered in Ghazipur on June 9.
Sonam, Raj and three accused in Raja Raghuvanshi’s murder case were arrested in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The Meghalaya Police has recovered clothes with blood stains from the accused's home, Jagran.com reported. It has been sent for further investigation. A special investigation team of the Meghalaya Police will present Sonam Raghuvanshi in a local court to seek her custody and reconstruct the crime scene in Shillong’s Sohra.
