Jagran Correspondent, Himachal: The continuous rainfall in Himachal Pradesh has led to a significant surge in the water levels, leaving tourists stranded for several hours. The Jispa drain, approximately 100 km from Manali, has witnessed a flood-like situation after the water level in the drain surged significantly on Wednesday. Apart from this, Jingjingbar drain, 15 kilometers away from Jispa drain, has also experienced similar conditions. The administration has urged the tourists to stay updated and plan their travels accordingly.
Heavy Rain In Manali
The residents of Manali have witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall since Tuesday, leading to waterlogging on the key roads. The tourists on Wednesday headed towards the other destinations, including Leh, Ladakh, and Lahaul-Spiti through the Atal Tunnel amid rainfall. However, as per the weather advisory, Lahaul-Spiti is also expected to witness rainfall in the late hours of Wednesday.

Cloud Bursts In Doda
Apart from this, two cloudbursts on Wednesday triggered flash floods and landslides in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, severely affecting the vehicular movement. As per the officials, several roads got blocked in the region due to the flash floods. The phenomenon has blocked the connectivity to the interior villages of Doda, leaving the residents stranded.
The flash floods, accompanied by a large amount of debris, have cut off connectivity to several villages in the Bhalesha belt. The officials, while providing details, stated that the road restoration work will begin only after weather conditions improve.
Authority Issues Advisory
The authorities have begun the rescue operation and have advised the residents and tourists to follow the guidelines and avoid outdoor activities until the weather gets normal. The trekkers have also been advised to stay updated and not explore the hilly regions during the rainfall. As per the weather advisory, the hilly states, including Uttarakhand, Himachal, and Jammu and Kashmir, will continue to witness rain for the next few days.
