"We had got the tank filled with diesel. Few vehicles moved ahead after refueling and broke down after travelling 1 km, while the others broke down here," the driver said.
According to a report by NDTV, the Food and Civil Supplies Department collected the fuel samples and later confirmed the presence of water in the diesel.
In another news, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav directed officials to correct the alignment of a yet-to-be-inaugurated railway overbridge in Bhopal’s Aishbagh area, after concerns surfaced over its nearly 90-degree connection point. The design flaw was flagged by Indian Railways officials during a site inspection in April 2024, but construction continued despite warnings.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, CM Yadav said he had directed officials and the state minister to address the objection regarding the ROB’s sharp curve. “This bridge is still under construction and the issue was recently brought to my attention. I’ve asked officials to correct the curve to prevent accidents and take strict action against those responsible for this mistake,” he said.
