MP Factory Blast: Three workers were killed while several others were injured after an explosion at a firecracker factory on AB Road in Madhya Pradesh’s Dewas on Thursday, jagran.com reported. This firecracker factory is located near Tonkala, about 20 km from the district headquarters. According to preliminary information, more than 23 people were seriously burned in the accident.
The death toll is expected to rise. Following the explosion, smoke billowed around the fireworks factory, and a crowd of people gathered nearby.
Workers Were Residents Of Bihar’s Araria
The workers here are said to be from Bihar's Araria district. So far, 11 injured have been referred from the district hospital. In addition, injured people have been sent to Amaltas and Choithram Hospital in Indore.

Apart from this, as soon as the information was received, all the senior officers including Collector, ADM and SDM reached the spot and necessary instructions were being given regarding relief work.

A large amount of gunpowder and manufactured firecrackers are still present in the factory. After controlling the fire, the administration team is working to sanitise the entire area.
When Divisional Commissioner Ashish Singh arrived at the scene, the crowd surrounded him and shouted slogans expressing their anger against the administration.
Vipin Kumar, a resident of Araria district in Bihar, who was present at the scene, said he was working on the machine when a loud explosion occurred about 20 metre away.
