A woman from Madhya Pradesh has been arrested for killing a man to grab his property after spotting him in a viral social media reel. Indra Kumar Tiwari’s body was recovered from a drain on June 6 in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar.

As per a report by News 18, the woman lured Tiwari on the pretext of a fake marriage as the victim was looking for a suitable bride. He was later stabbed to death.

Tiwari’s body remained unidentified initially but was later matched to a missing person from Jabalpur.

As per the police, Sahiba Bano assumed the identity of Khushi Tiwari after she came across Indra’s reel claiming he owns 18 bighas of land and was struggling to get married.

Sahiba reached out to Indra via social media, using a fake identity by forging Aadhaar card to gain his trust. She lured him to Gorakhpur, where along with two accomplices, she staged a fake marriage ceremony. Just hours later, the trio murdered Tiwari and dumped his body in a drain, the aforementioned media outlet reported.

As per police, the accused was planning to claim the victim’s land using the photo from their fake marriage. Her two associated were also invloved in the crime as she had promised them some amount of money after selling Indra’s land.
