MSME Udyam Certificate Registration: The Udyam certificate is a business recognition certificate issued by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to Micro, Small and Medium enterprises. The Ministry of MSME issues this certificate online to the entrepreneurs upon completing the online registration process. 

What Is Udyam Registration Certificate

The Udyam certificate or MSME certificate is an official document issued by the MSME Ministry, which serves as proof of registration for any micro to medium-level enterprises. The certificate, issued after completion of the online registration process, bears a unique identification number, enabling the holder to access several government schemes, subsidies and financial benefits.

With its issuance digitally, businesses can apply online without complex paperwork. It also provides a unique identification number for identity verification. 

How To Apply For Udyam Registration Certificate

To apply for the Udyam registration certificate, one needs to visit the official website Udyam registration Portal

Click on the ‘For new entrepreneurs who are not registered yet as MSME or those with EM-II’ option on the homepage.

Then enter the ‘Aadhaar Number’, and ‘Name of Entrepreneur’ and click on the ‘Validate & Generate OTP’ button. 

Now enter the OTP sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number and validate the OTP.

Enter the ‘Type of Organisation’, ‘PAN’ and click on the ‘Validate’ button. Enter the details on the ‘Udyam Registration’ form and click ‘Submit and Get Final OTP’. Enter the OTP and submit the form.

Entrepreneurs will get the Udyam registration certificate in their email.

Udyam Registration Certificate Processing Time And Application Fee

One can apply for the Udyam registration certificate without any cost on the government’s official website, and it takes 2 to 4 business days to arrive at the registered email address.

How To Download the Udyam Certificate

Entrepreneurs who have registered for the Udyam certificate can access their certificate on the Udyam portal and directly download it from there. Here’s how to download the certificate-

  • Visit Udyam Registration Portal 

  • Click the ‘Print/Verify’ option and select the ‘Print Udyam Certificate’ option.

  • Now enter the ‘Udyam Registration Number’, ‘Mobile’, choose the OTP option and click on the ‘Validate & Generate OTP’ button.

  • Click on the validate and login button after entering the OTP received on your mobile number or email address. 

  • As soon as one is logged in, they can print the certificate or download it.
