Mumbai | Jagran News Desk: Maharashtra has been the worst affected state in India due to the novel coronavirus. The deadly virus has claimed the lives of 149 and affected more than 2,064. Mumbai, the state’s capital, has reported 92 deaths and 1,357 positive cases of the deadly virus.

Looking at the spike in the number of coronavirus cases, the Maharashtra government has extended the lockdown till April 30 and warned that it would take strict actions against those violating restrictions.

12:29 pm: 82 new COVID19 cases including 59 cases in Mumbai reported in the state today; the total number of positive cases in the state is now 2,064: Maharashtra Health Department

10:27 am: "High risk contact tracing is being done," a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation official said, as quoted by PTI.

10:27 am: Three new coronavirus cases were reported from Madina Nagar, Janata Cooperative Housing Society and Gulmohar chawl of Dharavi, the authorities said.

10:26 am: In Dharavi, the authorities on Monday reported four new coronavirus cases, including one death, taking the total number of such cases in Mumbai's slum area to 47.

10:24 am: Amid the spike in coronavirus cases, the authorities have warned the citizens to strictly follow the lockdown.

10:23 am: In Mumbai, the death toll due to coronavirus stands at 92. 

10:23 am: Mumbai has reported 1,298 confirmed COVID-19 cases so far.
