PM Modi Mumbai Visit: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Mumbai for 2 days on October 8 and October 9, where he will host UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who will be on his first official visit to India.
On his two-day visit to the city of dreams, PM Modi will inaugurate multiple projects for the travel convenience and improved living standards of citizens. PM Modi will inaugurate several key projects, including the long-awaited Navi Mumbai International Airport.
Here’s the list of projects, PM Modi will inaugurate in Mumbai during his visit on October 8 and 9-
Navi Mumbai International Airport Inauguration
Spanning 1160 hectares, the second international airport for the Mumbai Metropolitan region is designed to be among the most efficient in the world. According to an estimate, the airport will handle 90 million passengers annually and 3.25 million metric tonnes of cargo.
The NMIA, developed at a cost of Rs 19,650 crore, is India’s largest Greenfield airport project under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
Mumbai Metro Line 3 Inauguration
According to the itinerary released by the Prime Minister’s office, PM Modi will also inaugurate the final phase of the Mumbai Metro Line 3, connecting Cuffe Parade to Worli. It is an underground metro line built at an estimated cost of Rs 12,200 crore.

Mumbai's first-of-its-kind metro line stretches from Cuffe Parade to Aarey JVLR, covering 27 stations, and is expected to serve 13 lakh passengers daily.
‘Mumbai One’ App Launch
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch "Mumbai One," India's first integrated common mobility app, which will bring together 11 public transport operators, including-
- Metro Services
- Mumbai Suburban Railway
- Bus Services: Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST), Thane Municipal Transport, Mira Bhayander Municipal Transport, Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Transport, and Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport
- Monorail
Short Term Employability Programme (STEP)
Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the Short-Term Employability Programme (STEP), an initiative by the Maharashtra government to offer emerging technology courses through 400 industrial training institutes and 150 government technical high schools across the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his UK counterpart, Keir Starmer, are expected to review the progress of the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during their meeting in Mumbai on October 9.
