Delhi To Meerut RRTS Update: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new corridor of the Namo Bharat train on Sunday, making the much-anticipated travel from Delhi to Meerut a reality. The train will now complete the journey in just 40 minutes, providing passengers with a faster and more convenient option for travelling between the two cities.

The operation was launched from Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar stations of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). From Sunday evening, the train service will be available to passengers travelling to Meerut from these stations.

Delhi To Meerut Namo Bharat Train Ticket Price

The Namo Bharat train offers two classes: Standard and Premium. Ticket prices vary based on the distance and class. Below are the fares for different stations:

The train from Anand Vihar to Meerut South takes 35 minutes, with a total of nine stops along the way. For those boarding from New Ashok Nagar, the journey will take 40 minutes, with ten stops in between. The Namo Bharat train is part of a 55-kilometre corridor, including a six-kilometre underground stretch near Sahibabad to Khichdipur.

The Anand Vihar station is 297 meters long and 35 meters wide, situated at a depth of 8 meters, and is well-connected to various modes of transport, including metro lines, bus terminals, and railway stations. New Ashok Nagar station, located 20 meters above ground, offers ample parking with a capacity for 500 vehicles and multiple entry and exit routes.

Delhi-Meerut RRTS Parking Fees

Parking facilities at several stations are available for two-wheelers and cars. Parking charges include:

  • Two-wheelers: Rs 10 for up to 6 hours, Rs 30 for more than 12 hours.

  • Cars: Rs 30 for up to 16 hours, Rs 100 for longer stays.

Namo Bharat Train Features 

The Namo Bharat train features one women-only coach, with reserved seats for women, elderly passengers, and those with disabilities in other coaches. Additional amenities include a stretcher and wheelchair, as well as an attendant for assistance.

Passengers are directed to avoid carrying luggage heavier than 25 kg, bundles, or items resembling explosives. The train service also provides four methods for purchasing tickets, including cash, UPI, NCMC cards and the RRTS Connect app.
