Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday reiterated India's longstanding, consistent position on the Israel-Palestine issue in his telephonic conversation with his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi. PM Modi has divulged the details of the interaction on X (formerly Twitter). He condemned incidents of violence and loss of lives in the war-torn region. He also hailed bilateral cooperation between the two nations, including progress on the Chabahar port.

Terrorist incidents, violence and loss of civilian lives are serious concerns. Preventing escalation, ensuring continued humanitarian aid and early restoration of peace and stability are important. Welcomed the progress in our bilateral cooperation, including on the Chabahar port,” PM Modi wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

As per the report, over 10,000 people have been killed since the unprecedented war erupted between Israel and Hamas.
PM Modi has recently spoken with the leaders of Israel, Jordan, Egypt, the UK, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to discuss the unrest in the Middle East.
The unrest erupted between Hamas and Israel after the latter on October 7 fired as many as 5,000 missiles unbridled in the Israeli territory. Moreover, armed militants rampaged across cities in Israel and abducted over 222 civilians.

Responding to the misadventure, Israel launched a massive counteroffensive in Gaza. Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to not stop its military operation in Palestinian territory until Hamas was destroyed.
