Nashik TCS Case: In a fresh development in the Nashik TCS case, investigators have uncovered fresh details in the alleged sexual and religious harassment matter at Tata Consultancy Services’ BPO unit. Aadhaar and PAN cards belonging to the victims have been recovered from the house of one of the accused.

According to News18, citing police officials, the documents were found during a search operation. Authorities also seized clothes and other personal belongings of the victims from the house of the accused, Danish.

Police are now probing why the accused was in possession of sensitive personal documents, with suspicions that a bank account may have been opened in a victim’s name without her knowledge.

Victims have alleged that vulgar codes were used in office passwords and obscene messages were circulated on WhatsApp groups to mentally harass women employees.

While recording her statement before the Maharashtra State Women’s Commission, one of the complainants said the harassment began during her training period and continued for months.

Investigators said the misconduct was not limited to isolated incidents. A group leader at the TCS Nashik unit allegedly sent lewd messages almost daily on official WhatsApp groups.

Moreover, reports claim that office Wi-Fi passwords were frequently changed using vulgar words or terms intended to offend the religious beliefs of female employees, as part of a sustained attempt to mentally intimidate them.

The case surfaced after a woman accused Danish Sheikh of entering into a physical relationship with her in 2022 on the false promise of marriage, allegedly concealing that he was already married.

The complaint also named his sister, Nida Khan, who is currently absconding, alleging that she made derogatory remarks about the complainant’s faith and pressured her to convert her religion. Police say Khan and Tausif Akhtar also allegedly hid Sheikh’s marital status from the victim.

So far, seven TCS employees which includes six men and one woman who all have been arrested. Those named include Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Rafiq Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, Asif Aftab Ansari, and HR head Ashwini Chainani.

As the investigation widened, seven more women approached the police, alleging mental and sexual harassment by senior colleagues and accusing the human resources department of ignoring repeated complaints.

The incidents are said to have taken place between February 2022 and March 2026. A male employee has also filed a separate complaint alleging an attempt at religious conversion at the workplace.
