Suspended City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Neha Pachisia is likely to face arrest, along with two of her close associates, in connection with an alleged land transfer case in Madhya Pradesh’s Katni district. Neha is accused of facilitating the transfer of land worth around Rs 1 crore, belonging to a murder accused, to a close friend for just Rs 18 lakh. Several police officers and personnel who allegedly assisted the CSP are also under the scanner.

Meanwhile, an application for anticipatory bail was filed in the district court on behalf of the CSP and her close associate Kshitij Raj Barapatre, but due to the delay in reaching the case diary on Saturday, it could not be heard.

Anticipatory Bail Hearing Likely On Monday

The hearing is likely to take place on Monday. Meanwhile, the police have sent teams to other cities including Jabalpur and Rajasthan to arrest the three accused. Jabalpur IG Pramod Kumar Verma has handed over the investigation of the case to ASP Anjana Tiwari.

Katni CSP Neha is accused of forcing the murder accused in a case and getting a land worth Rs 1 crore transferred in the name of her close friend by paying Rs 18 lakh. An FIR was registered against Neha and her two close friends - Maruf Ahmed, and Kshitij Raj in this case on Thursday.

After the FIR was filed, the matter came to the direct attention of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The CM ordered the Chief Secretary to take immediate action against the Katni CSP and to conduct a thorough investigation. A police team arrived at the CSP's office on Friday morning. Six police personnel including Neha were suspended.

CSP Kept Murder Accused Hostage In Bungalow

An investigation conducted by IG Jabalpur revealed that CSP Neha held murder accused Ramesh Lodhi hostage in her official residence for two days. He was taken to the registry office in the CSP's official vehicle. After the registry, when Ramesh complained to the Chief Minister's Helpline and applied to the Patwari to stop the name transfer, the CSP threatened him with a further payment of Rs 75 lakh if he wanted to avoid jail time. When he refused to pay, the CSP had Ramesh and his son-in-law implicated in the case and sent to jail.

Journey From Air Hostess To DSP

Neha Pachisia is originally a resident of Pachor tehsil of Rajgarh district. Her father was a teacher. She was earlier an air hostess in Air India. She became DSP by securing 20th rank in the state in the MP-PSC results of 2016. Her first posting was in Guna district, there too she was transferred due to a dispute with the IG. She was also honoured for motivating people by dancing on patriotic songs during the Corona period. After this she was posted in Police Headquarters Bhopal and Khandwa. In 2025 she was made CSP in Katni.
