The Bay of Bengal is once again witnessing a major weather change. According to meteorologists, a low-pressure area is likely to become active in the southwestern Bay of Bengal from November 22.
If ocean conditions remain favourable, this system could become more active and develop into a depression by November 24. It is also expected to intensify further into a deep depression and then potentially become a cyclone.
Although the Meteorological Department has not yet officially confirmed the formation of a cyclone, there are signs of strong winds and increased cloud cover in the ocean.

This weather change will be most pronounced in South India. Heavy rainfall is expected in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and coastal areas until November 26. This may prompt fishermen in coastal areas to be warned against venturing into the sea.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand will also be indirectly affected by this system. Weather will change in Dhanbad and surrounding districts, but the likelihood of rain is very low. Some areas of eastern and southeastern Jharkhand may experience light rainfall, but most areas will remain cloudy.

The combination of cold winds from the Himalayas and clouds carrying moisture from the Bay of Bengal may lead to dense fog in many areas of Jharkhand.
Weather experts have forecast that cloudy weather between November 23 and 26 will lead to a drop in day temperatures and a feeling of cold, while the minimum night temperature is likely to remain between 15 and 16 degrees Celsius.
Nighttime temperatures will be milder than usual, but daytime temperatures will remain chilly due to cold winds and cloud cover. Overall, Jharkhand will see less rain, but more exposure to cold and cloud cover.
