Chennai Power Cut: Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) has announced a shutdown in multiple locations in Chennai on Friday, November 21, in view of maintenance work. As per TANGEDCO, the power will be resumed before 5 pm if the works are completed ahead of schedule.

MGR Salai, Santhiappan salai, Kothandaraman Street, Perungudi, OMR, Kamarajar Nagar, Kurijni Nagar, Anna Nedunj Salai, Nehru Nagar, Kottivakkam, Srinivasa Nagar, Jayendra Colony, Thiruvalluvar Street, Karpaga vinayagar Street, Telephone Nagar, Church Road, CBI Colony above all surrounding areas.

Chennai Weather

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain in Chennai until the weekend. Occasional thunderstorms and lightning are also expected during this time. The weather conditions are the result of an active northeast monsoon over Tamil Nadu.

As per IMD forecast, Chennai will see maximum temperatures ranging between 29 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperatures are expected to hover between 23 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius. Over the next few days, Chennai will witness a combination of thunderstorms, rain and cloudy conditions.

Tamil Nadu Weather Forecast

November 20: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Cuddalore and Mayiladuthurai districts.

November 21: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore and Karaikal area.

November 22: Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Cuddalore and Karaikal area.
