In a chilling incident, a 21-year-old student was found injured inside an apartment complex compound in Gujarat's Ahmedabad late Friday night and later succumbed to his injuries. The incident sent shockwaves through the city as the body was found stripped and had severe injuries.
According to a report by The Times of India, the deceased has been identified as Jigar Solanki, originally from Bhavnagar. He was pursuing a finance course from Oak University in Ahmedabad and was staying with his maternal uncle in Isanpur for around two-and-a-half months.
The police have registered an FIR on the complaint of his uncle, Harshit Chauhan. In his complaint, Chauhan said that Solanki had dinner at around 9:30 PM and told his family that he was going to meet his friend at Jawahar Chowk.
He had left the house on his bike. He said that around two hours later, they received information that Solanki was found injured at the premises. The gate was locked, and the keys were reportedly still with him.
The family alleged that Solanki was lying stripped and had severe injuries. The complex residents covered him with clothes and rushed him to LG Hospital in an ambulance.

The society members put shorts and other clothes on him before rushing him to the hospital."
The FIR has been filed against unidentified persons, and an investigation has been launched to establish the sequence of events that unfolded after he left home.
The police suspects that he could have been targeted with a stick or another heavy object, though the exact weapon has not yet been established.
The police are examining the CCTV footage from the apartment complex and nearby areas to trace his movement and to identify his attackers. While technical evidence is being analysed, a forensic team and dog squad examined the crime scene.
