In a major push toward building a prosperous and industrially strong State, Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, today inaugurated industrial projects and laid the foundation stones for new investments at a landmark Mega Groundbreaking and Inauguration Ceremony in Kalinganagar, Jajpur district.

The historic event marks another significant milestone in translating investment commitments into ground-level execution, creating thousands of jobs and advancing the vision of Samruddha Odisha. The ceremony saw the official launch and foundation laying of 46 industrial projects representing a total investment of Rs 39,383 crore, with the potential to generate 42,512 employment opportunities across the state.

The programme was accompanied by key roundtable discussions and one-on-one interactions between state leadership and industry representatives to accelerate project implementation and address strategic growth requirements.

Today's ceremony further bolsters this trajectory, reinforcing the State's commitment to ensuring that investment proposals move swiftly beyond announcements and into production.

The 46 projects spanning 14 districts- Anugola, Baragada, Baleshwar, Boudh, Kataka, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendujhar, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargada- cover a wide spectrum of sectors.

These multi-sectoral investments come as part of the State Government's sustained outreach following the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 and subsequent domestic and international investor roadshows, cementing Odisha's standing as a premier global manufacturing destination.

Speaking on the occasion, Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said, "Our focus is not only on attracting investments but also on ensuring that they translate into projects on the ground, employment opportunities, and improved livelihoods. Through sustained investor engagement and effective project facilitation, we are working to strengthen Odisha’s industrial ecosystem and ensure that the benefits of growth reach our people."

Emphasising the State's execution-driven approach, Hemant Sharma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries, Home, and Information & Public Relations), stated, "The real success of investment promotion lies in implementation. We are focused on facilitating projects, addressing investor requirements, and strengthening coordination so that investments can contribute to industrial capacity, employment, and local economic development. Today's ceremony reflects Odisha's continued progress in turning investment commitments into tangible outcomes."

By driving value addition, creating opportunities for local MSMEs, and boosting employment in construction, logistics, and allied services, today's event marks a decisive step in Odisha’s journey toward an inclusive, diversified, and competitive economy aimed at achieving Samruddha Odisha by 2036.
