Oracle Layoff News: In a major shock for the tech industry, US firm Oracle announced latest round of layoffs on Tuesday, affecting around 2,500 employees. The decision sent a shockwave among the employees and received a massive backlash on the social media platforms. The story of Sourabh Sahu, one such affected employee who worked for Oracle for over a decade, was shared by his wife on the job-seeking platform LinkedIn.
Wife Shares Emotional Note
In her post, Pooja Sahu stated that her husband worked tirelessly for the firm, adding that he even worked on the prominent festivals such as Diwali and Holi. She further stated that Sourabh has a experience of nearly two decades and was among the best employees for Oracle. However, despite giving good results and working for long hours, Sourabh was fired without given a proper warning.
"This post is for everyone who works day and night to provide for their families, especially amid visa uncertainty, yet still gives their best every day," Sahu wrote in her post. She further stated that along with the festivals, her husband managed to work even during the family functions, adding that the he even worked while she was undergoing through a surgery.

Oracle's Shocking Mail To Employees
Earlier in an Email to the concerned employees, Oracle informed that their roles have been dissolved, further stating that the decision was crucial for a broader organizational change. "We are sharing some difficult news regarding your position. After careful consideration of Oracle's current business needs, we have made the decision to eliminate your role as part of a broader organisational change," the firm wrote in its mail.
"As a result, today is your last working day," the mail concluded. Employees were told that their access to Oracle's computers, email, voicemail and files would be deactivated. They were asked to provide a personal email address so they could receive information about severance and other documents related to their departure.
