Jagran Correspondent, New Delhi: A pilot was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a room at a five-star hotel in Delhi's Vasant Kunj area. Upon receiving information about the incident, police took custody of the body, sent it for a post-mortem examination, and initiated an investigation to determine the exact sequence of events leading to his death.

Pilot Found Unconscious In Hotel Room After Brother Raises Alarm

The pilot had checked into Hotel The Grand on Thursday, September 10. The incident came to light the following evening when his brother contacted the hotel manager and informed him that the captain was not answering his calls.

When the manager went to the room, he found the door locked from the inside. He opened it using a master key and discovered the pilot lying unconscious.

Police Launch Investigation, Post-Mortem Conducted

Upon receiving a PCR call regarding an unresponsive guest at the hotel, a team from the Vasant Kunj North police station rushed to the scene. The pilot was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Following the incident, a crime team was called in to collect evidence from the room. The body was subsequently transferred to Safdarjung Hospital, where a post-mortem examination was conducted.

Police stated that the exact cause of death will be ascertained only after receiving the final post-mortem report. Further inquiry is underway, and inquest proceedings have been initiated under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
