Shiva Sharma Death Case: Accused Model Shraddha Dubey Flees Again After Lucknow HC Appearance, DCP Removed

Shiva Sharma Death Case: The police investigation into the death of 28-year-old Lucknow restaurant owner Shiva Sharma has taken a new turn after accused model and influencer Shraddha Dubey reportedly evaded police custody and fled again after arriving near the Lucknow High Court.

According to jagran.com, the absconding accused, Shraddha Dubey and her sister Rashmi, along with driver Tanveer alias Danish, crossed into India from Nepal via the Sonauli border, arrived at the Lucknow High Court, and fled once again without the police being aware of their presence.

Model Shraddha Dubey, the prime accused in the Shiva Sharma murder case in Lucknow, appeared before the media for the first time on Sunday. She said, “I did not kill Shiva. All the allegations are baseless. Shiva jumped from the building in front of my eyes.”

This incident comes after all three had been absconding for nine days. A Saharanpur court had issued a notice to Shraddha Dubey.

What Happened At HC?

Shraddha reportedly stayed at the Lucknow High Court for a brief period, during which an advocate had her sign some documents within the court premises. She then travelled to Agra via the expressway and made her way to Saharanpur from there.

On Sunday, the police increased the reward for information leading to the accused's arrest from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000. Despite the disciplinary action, Inspector Vikram Singh remains part of the team formed to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, after the police failed to arrest the accused despite more than a week having passed, senior authorities took action by removing DCP Central Vikrant Veer from his post and transferring him to headquarters. Hazratganj Inspector Vikram Singh was also sent to the police lines.

Police teams are continuously conducting raids to locate the absconding accused. According to police proceedings, it was confirmed that Shraddha had reached Gorakhpur wearing a burqa. The police team tracked her location and reached the area, but she managed to evade them.

Meanwhile, late Sunday evening, Shraddha posted a video statement to a news agency proclaiming her innocence.

She once again described the incident as a suicide, Shraddha repeated the claims she had previously made in a video released from Nepal. Following her statement, the conflict between the claims made by the accused's side and the findings of the police investigation has intensified. However, Shraddha's claims have not been independently verified.

What Happened to Shiva Sharma?

Shiva Sharma, a 28-year-old Lucknow cafe owner who lived with his family in Aliganj and ran two restaurants in addition to a café, was found dead on October 9 after falling from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartments in the Balu Adda area. He was reportedly in a live-in relationship with model and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey at the time.

According to the FIR, Dubey allegedly pushed Sharma from the fourth floor, HT reported. His mother also alleged that his body bore cigarette burns.

Shraddha Dubey is a social media influencer and model originally from Rae Bareli. She also won the 'Best Face of Lucknow' title and has approximately 141,000 followers on Instagram. Seven years ago, she featured in a music video released by a prominent music label, which has reportedly garnered around 270,000 views on YouTube.
