Initial probes revealed that the vehicle was purchased on September 11 and was discovered abandoned near Andheri West railway station a day after the shooting. The police are probing whether it was purchased specifically for the attack or had been used earlier to conduct reconnaissance of the area frequently visited by the actor.

Vehicle Changed Hands Three Times Before Attack

According to a report by Jagran.com, the motorcycle underwent multiple ownership transfers before the incident. Originally owned by an individual in Jogeshwari, the bike was resold to a second owner before being passed to a third owner. The accused purchased the vehicle from this third seller a few weeks before the incident.

Although the payment was completed, the vehicle's ownership documents were not transferred to the buyers. The paperwork transfer was reportedly scheduled to take place after Navratri. Investigators are probing every link in this transfer chain to establish accountability.

In their statement, Rapido said, "We are deeply concerned by the incident involving Mr Tiger Shroff and his team, and we are relieved that he is safe. We wish him a swift recovery. We are aware of media reports mentioning an individual registered as a captain on the Rapido platform. He has not been active as a captain on our platform since 14th October. As is common in India’s larger gig economy, individuals may be registered with several platforms at the same time."

Rapido emphasised that on the day of the shooting, the suspect had used the platform only as a customer, not as a driver.

"We are in constant touch with the authorities and are supporting them in their investigation. We responded promptly and have shared all the information requested from us. Rapido has zero tolerance for violence or criminal activity, and we will continue to extend our full cooperation," it added.
