- Four Pakistani terrorists killed in Poonch district.
- Top LeT commander among those neutralized.
- LoC infiltration attempt foiled by mine blast.
Four Pakistani terrorists, including a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander, were killed in a landmine blast on Monday while attempting to infiltrate India through the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
The blast, caused by an improvised explosive device (IED), occurred in a forward village in the Satwal-Naki area of the Krishna Ghati (KG) sector when the group attempted to infiltrate India.
Terrorists Identified As PoK Residents
The deceased terrorists have been identified as Muhammad Ishtiaq, Muhammad Faizan (a top LeT commander), Muhammad Waqas, and Muhammad Asim, all residents of Mandla and Madarpur in Tehsil Hajira, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), NDTV reported.
Satwal-Naki is considered to be a traditional infiltration route where six to seven members of Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) were killed in a similar blast in the past.
While officials stated that the exact circumstances leading to the explosion are still being verified, security forces have sounded an alert across the area and intensified vigilance along the LoC.

Officials said that forward areas along the LoC are lined with landmines as part of the anti-infiltration system, which can sometimes surface due to heavy rainfall.
