Transfer Land Or Eliminate Father: The Ultimatum

The case took a major turn when investigators linked the unidentified body to a missing person's report filed on September 25 at the Vishnupad police station regarding both Krishna Gupta and his son, Chandan Raj.

Police subsequently took Chandan into custody. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and revealed he had been in a relationship with a married woman 10 years older than him for over a decade. The woman was pressuring him to separate from his parents and sign over the family land to her.

"During police questioning, Chandan allegedly revealed that a woman, ten years older than him, had given him an ultimatum: either transfer his share of the land to her name or eliminate his father. It was under this pressure that he hatched a conspiracy to commit murder," NDTV quoted the police as saying.

How Chandan Raj Killed His Father

On the night of September 24, Chandan picked up his father from Magadh Medical College Hospital after a dialysis session. On the way back home, Chandan attacked his father's head and face with a stick, a brick, and heavy stones. His father died on the spot from severe injuries. Chandan then abandoned the body near the OTA and fled.
