The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday rebuked Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi for pushing ‘Pakistan’s agenda’ after the latter questioned External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to reveal the number of aircraft India lost in Operation Sindoor.
BJP's Information and Technology department chief Amit Malviya said Gandhi did not congratulate PM Modi on Operation Sindoor, instead questioning how many jets India lost in the faceoff with Pakistan.

“It is not surprising that Rahul Gandhi is speaking the language of Pakistan and its benefactors. He hasn’t congratulated the Prime Minister on the flawless #OperationSindoor, which unmistakably showcases India’s dominance. Instead, he repeatedly asks how many jets we lost—a question that has already been addressed in the DGMO briefings. Curiously, he hasn’t once inquired about how many Pakistani jets were shot down during the conflict, or how many were destroyed while parked in their hangars when Indian forces pounded Pakistani airbases. What’s next for Rahul Gandhi? The Nishan-e-Pakistan?” Malviya posted on X.

Rahul Gandhi on Monday questioned EAM Jaishankar’s ‘silence’ over damage caused to India’s fighter jets fleet during the Operation Sindoor. He also said Jaishankar publicly admitted to having informed Pakistan before carrying out the strikes, adding that it was a lapse and crime.
“EAM Jaishankar’s silence isn’t just telling — it’s damning. So I’ll ask again: How many Indian aircraft did we lose because Pakistan knew? This wasn’t a lapse. It was a crime. And the nation deserves the truth” Gandhi had posted on X.
