The family of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala has expressed strong displeasure over the deportation of gangster Anmol Bishnoi, urging authorities not to project his return as any sort of achievement.

Commenting on reports that Anmol, the brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is being brought back from the US, Moose Wala’s uncle said the move should be viewed strictly as part of the legal process, not celebrated as a government success.

Moose Wala’s uncle firmly stated that Anmol Bishnoi’s deportation should not be showcased as a government milestone. “There’s nothing for the government to celebrate in bringing Anmol back,” he said, emphasising that those facing grave charges must face tough action.

He insisted that Anmol be handled strictly under Indian law. “Deal with him as a criminal, not as someone special. The government must treat Anmol exactly as the law treats any offender in India,” he added.

The family further cautioned the authorities against offering any kind of preferential treatment to gangsters in prison, arguing that such leniency only strengthens their networks and helps them lure impressionable youngsters. “They should be imprisoned like any other criminal, not pampered with VIP comforts,” he said.

He added that these privileges have allowed gangsters to manipulate underprivileged children and use them for their criminal activities. “Because of these special facilities, they are able to trap poor kids and push them to their deaths,” he said, urging a complete rethink on how high-profile offenders are kept and supervised.

Who Is Anmol Bishnoi

Anmol Bishnoi, a key accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique and a suspect in the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in April 2024, is being deported to India from the United States, a police official confirmed. He is expected to arrive in Delhi on Wednesday, according to officials.
