Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines will commence international air services from Noida International Airport, connecting travellers to key destinations including Zurich, Singapore and Dubai starting April 17, 2025. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) granted initial approval, although final clearance from the central government is pending. This development comes as Noida Airport nears its launch date, with domestic and international services scheduled to operate from day one.
Following contracts with Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines applied to IATA for operational approval. Dr Arunvir Singh, CEO of Noida International Airport Limited, confirmed agreements with these airlines, emphasising their commitment to providing international services from the airport’s first day. Lufthansa, currently operating 179 flights to 78 countries, will offer flights to Zurich, Singapore and Dubai.
Noida International Airport will also host 25 domestic routes and two cargo services starting April 17. Agreements with Indigo and Akasa Airlines secured domestic flights connecting major cities, such as Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Srinagar and Jaipur. This extensive network aims to position Noida Airport as India's key hub for air travel.

Construction for the first phase of Noida International Airport involved the acquisition of 1,334 hectares across six villages, including 11.80 hectares of land from local farmers. In recognition of farmers who contributed land for the airport's construction, a dedicated flight from Noida to Lucknow will be available to them on the first day of operations.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other officials will also participate in a ceremonial flight from Noida to Lucknow, marking the airport's official inauguration.
