Noida Fire: Short Circuit Triggers Blaze At Electricity Meter Factory, Leaves 37 Workers With Burn Injuries

Noida Fire: A fire broke out on Thursday morning at Capital Power System Limited’s electricity meter manufacturing factory due to a short circuit. Several employees were inside the facility at the time of the incident. The sudden blaze caused panic among the workers, and a number of them sustained injuries.

As per jagran.com, the fire broke out around 5:30 am at the factory located in B-40, Sector 4, in the Phase 1 police station area.

Around 341 employees were on duty at the factory at the time. Upon receiving the information, the fire department and police arrived at the scene and evacuated the employees.

37 Employees Sustain Burn Injuries

37 employees sustained burn injuries in the incident. All the injured were taken to the district hospital in Sector 39 for treatment. Some were discharged after first aid, while others are undergoing treatment.

Employees Break Windows To Save Lives

During the fire, several employees escaped by breaking windows and glass. Bystanders also helped by placing ladders and guiding the employees to safety.

Due to the large quantity of plastic and electrical wiring in the factory, the fire spread rapidly. Firefighters struggled to control the blaze as the efforts continued for a long time.
