Noida Techie Death: A builder was arrested on Tuesday in the death case of 27-year-old software engineer Yuvraj Mehta, who drowned after his car plunged into a water-filled pit in Noida’s Sector 150. The Noida police confirmed the arrest of one of the owners of Wiztown Planners Pvt Ltd, Abhay Kumar. The police are on lookout for the other owner, Manish Kumar. Police had earlier registered a case against the two builders, based on a complaint by the victim's family, while denying negligence in the rescue operation.
The arrest comes a day after Noida Authority CEO M Lokesh was removed from his post and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath ordered a probe by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the case. A three-member SIT team has been formed to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident.

Additional Director General (ADG), Meerut Zone, will lead the SIT probe. Two other members of the team include Meerut divisional commissioner and the chief engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD). "The team has been asked to conduct a detailed investigation and submit its report to the chief minister within five days," an official statement said.

What Happened With Noida Techie
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, when Yuvraj Mehta was returning to his home in Noida's Sector 150 amid dense fog. While he was on his way, his car plunged into 70 feet deep water-filled pit at an underconstruction site.
Techie, who worked with a Gurugram-based company, struggled for his life and dialled his father for help. The delivery agent who tried to save the techie reportedly claimed that rescue efforts were delayed and suggested that the engineer could have survived if action had been taken more promptly.
