Two people were arrested in Noida on Saturday for allegedly defrauding unemployed people by promising them jobs in the aviation sector. The accused, identified as Bhagwanta Singh from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, and Harsh Parihar from Prem Nagar, Delhi, operated a fake travel and tourism company in H Block of Noida Sector-63 while the accused's female accomplice, Shweta Mishra, remains at large.
The group targeted unemployed individuals, issuing fake offer letters and providing bogus training under the guise of employment in the aviation sector. One of the victims, Dimple Sagar from Dayal Bagh, Agra, filed a complaint leading to the arrest of these individuals.
Central Zone DCP Suniti revealed that four laptops, seven mobiles, 14 Airport Management Certificates, two Metro Management Certificates, one Diploma in Metro Management Certificate, eight blank Certificate of Achievement for Indian Airways and 178 Hospitality Certificates were seized from the accused.
Additionally, seals, several mobile SIM cards, advertisement pamphlets, information leaflets about airport ground staff work and data of unemployed people were also recovered.
During interrogation, the accused admitted to establishing a company named SRBS Indian Airways. They lured job seekers with promises of salaries ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 per month, along with accommodation, food, medical benefits, provident fund and travel expenses. To build trust, they sent fake offer letters via email, convincing victims they had secured semi-government jobs.

Victims were then directed to BRD Institute India Private Limited and Eagle Aviation for necessary aviation certification. The accused demanded an upfront payment of Rs 10,000 for admission, followed by further financial extortion under the pretext of completing the course. Once the victims failed the intentionally difficult interviews, the fraudsters threatened legal action to silence any demands for refunds or complaints.
Police launched a probe into the alleged scam and arrested two accused. They are actively searching for other accomplices involved in the scam. Further updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
