Global Nuclear Watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), dismissed the reports of radiation leaks from any nuclear facility in Pakistan during the recent standoff between India and Pakistan.

The statement of the IAEA came amid social media rumours that Pakistan's nuclear facilities were hit by Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor.

The Indian Air Force said that it did not target Pakistan’s nuclear stockpile.  Earlier, Air Marshal AK Bharti, Director General of Air Operations, dismissed claims that India targeted Kirana Hills. "We have not hit Kirana Hills, whatever is there," Air Marshal Bharti said at a media briefing on May 12.

"Based on information available to the IAEA, there has been no radiation leak or release from any nuclear facility in Pakistan," an IAEA spokesperson was quoted by the news agency PTI.

External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal dismissed US President Donald Trump's assertion that he prevented a nuclear conflict between India and another nation. Jaiswal clarified that India's military operation was within the conventional realm and rejected any speculation about a nuclear war.

The action was taken against Pakistan to avenge the killing of 26 people in a terrorist attack that took place in Baisaran valley of Pahalgam on April 22.
