PM Modi In Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday commended the contribution of female Border Security Force (BSF) officers, who, he said, played a crucial role in India's Operation Sindoor against terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Addressing the Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan in Bhopal, PM Modi said that the "brave daughters" of India displayed exceptional valour during Operation Sindoor. "The Sindoor we offer during the worship of Shakti, today has become a symbol of India's valour," PM Modi said.

Female BSF troops, led by Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari, silenced three forward hostile posts across the zero line (the area closest to enemy territory) by giving a befitting reply to the Pakistani troops during Operation Sindoor. Bhandari's company was responsible for stopping any infiltration attempts and keeping the IB safe. They successfully fulfilled their responsibilities during the operation.
Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari, on Friday, was also felicitated with the Commendation Disc for her exceptional courage and operational proficiency during Operation Sindoor. "On 30 May 2025, COAS General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, felicitated Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari of BSF Jammu with the Commendation Disc for her exceptional courage and operational proficiency during Operation Sindoor. She gallantly commanded a forward-deployed BSF company under challenging conditions", an 'X' post from BSF Jammu said.
