Delhi Bomb Scare:  Over 20 schools in the national capital received bomb threats via email on Friday morning. Delhi police confirmed the bomb threats and launched the probe. The police and fire team were deployed at the spot. Further investigation is underway to track the origin and authenticity of the threats.

Richmond Global School in the Paschim Vihar area of Delhi receives a bomb threat. Fire department and Delhi Police on the spot,” news agency ANI reported, citing a Delhi Fire Service official. “Abhinav Public School, located in Rohini Sector 3, has also received a bomb threat,” an official said.

The Delhi Police, along with the Delhi Fire Services team, immediately arrived at the affected schools after receiving alerts. This comes days after 10 schools and one college in the national capital received similar emails, leading to evacuation and panic among parents and students.

Slamming the BJP-led government in Delhi, AAP leader Atishi said, “More than 20 schools have received bomb threats today! Think of the trauma that children, parents and teachers would be going through. BJP controls all 4-engines of governance in Delhi, and is yet not able to provide any safety or security to our children! Shocking!”

Delhi Bomb Threat: What Did The Email Read?

“Hello. I am writing to let you know that I have placed several explosive devices (trinitrotoluene) within school classrooms. The explosives are skillfully hidden in black plastic bags. I will erase every last one of you from this world. Not a single soul will survive. I will gladly laugh when I watch the news, only to see the parents show up at the school and to be greeted by the cold, dismembered bodies of their children,” news agency ANI reported, citing a police official.

Earlier, several schools, including St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, The Mother’s International School in Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, received bomb threats. St. Stephen’s College also received an email claiming an explosive was planted in its library.

Bomb disposal units, fire tenders, dog squads, and Delhi Police’s special staff arrived at the spot. During the investigation, no suspicious object was found, according to the officials.
