The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, proudly announces that Padma Shri Awardee, Dr J M Vyas, founder Vice Chancellor of NFSU has been re-elected as the Vice President of the International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA). The election took place during the INTERPA Executive Board Meeting held in Nevsehir, Turkiye.
INTERPA, an esteemed international body comprising 80 member institutions from 63 countries, serves as a global platform for fostering cooperation, sharing expertise, and enhancing the standards of police training and education worldwide.
Dr Vyas’s re-election as Vice President is a testament to his exceptional leadership, extensive contribution to forensic science and law enforcement education, and his continued efforts in strengthening international collaboration in the field of policing and forensic sciences. Under his visionary leadership, NFSU has emerged as the world’s first and only university dedicated to Forensic, Behavioral, Cyber, and Security Sciences, achieving global recognition for academic excellence and innovation.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr J M Vyas stated “It is an honor to continue serving as Vice President of INTERPA. This re-election reflects India’s growing leadership in the field of forensic and police sciences. I look forward to enhancing global partnerships and contributing towards the advancement of scientific policing and training across member countries.”
