Pahalgam Terrorist Attack: In a major development, the house of terrorist Asif Sheikh and Adil Thoker were blown up in Jammu and Kashmir's Tral. The video of the incident has surfaced, which shows a major explosion.

The Resistance Front, the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba's offshoot, has claimed responsibility for the attack. As per the information, a team of security forces went to search the house of terrorist Asif Sheikh in Tral's Manganhama in South Kashmir.

During the search, the soldiers saw an IED and some other explosives inside the house. The security forces came out of the house to secure the explosives with the help of the bomb disposal squad.

However, as soon as the team of security forces came out, there was an explosion. Asif Sheikh is believed to be involved in the conspiracy behind the terrorist attack.

Meanwhile, the security forces demolished the house of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Adil Thokar alias Adil Gurri, a resident of Gurri in Bijbehara.

He is believed to be one of the terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam attack in which 26, mostly tourists, were killed. Adil had traveled to Pakistan legally in 2018, where he allegedly received terrorist training before returning to the UT last year.

On April 22, the terrorists, associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), attacked tourists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, in which 26 people, including a Nepali citizen, were killed.

Following the terror attack, the Central government announced several diplomatic measures, such as closing the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Attari, suspending the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) for Pakistani nationals, giving them 40 hours to return to their country, and reducing the number of officers in the High Commissions on both sides. India also held the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan on abeyance.

Meanwhile, Pakistan also held bilateral agreements, including 1972 Shimla Agreement, on abeyance. It also banned all trade with India, both directly and via third country.
