During their interrogation, Parvaiz and Bashir reportedly disclosed the identities of the three terrorists who carried out the April 22 attack that claimed the lives of 26 tourists. They also provided details about the movement and location of the attackers after the incident, officials said.
Investigators say the brothers gave the terrorists shelter and meals at a spot approximately 3 km from the scene of the attack in the Baisaran valley. While it's still uncertain whether they had prior knowledge of the planned assault, they were fully aware that the individuals they were helping were militants, the sources told News18.
Among the three attackers, one has been identified as Suleman, a highly trained militant whose name was confirmed by the families of victims. The other two belong to newer terror outfits and are not part of any existing intelligence database, the officials noted.
The two men are currently being transported to Jammu for further questioning. Preliminary interrogation has revealed that the terrorists fled to the Anantnag region following the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is now actively tracking their hideout based on the information provided.
