Attack On Shambhu Temple: Tension, originating from a terrorist attack in Baisaran valley of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, continues to escalate since India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ against Pakistan to avenge the killings in the terror attack. Continuing its attempt to attack India, Pakistan targeted the revered Shambhu temple in the Jammu region.

While updates continue to pour in, news agency ANI reported that Pakistan targeted the main gate of the Shambhu temple, used by devotees to enter and offer prayer, early in the morning today. Jammu police and other agencies are retrieving the projectile fragments. A local, talking to ANI, said the siren was activated, and hence fewer people were there.

Earlier, it was reported that shelling has taken place near the Shambhu temple. Shambhu temple, which is a significant religious site in the Jammu area, came under attack as part of a broader pattern of targeting Indian territories.

The attack on the Aap Shambhu temple came after an attack on a Gurudwara in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, Pakistan attacked a Gurudwara in Poonch of Jammu and Kashmir, leading to casualties. 

The attack on Gurudwara claimed 16 lives, injuring several. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, in a press conference, said that the attack on Guruwara was intended to target Sikhs in an attempt to indoctrinate people

Civilian areas in Jammu city suffer damage due to heavy and persistent shelling by Pakistan.

India carried out retaliatory strikes on Saturday, targeting at least four Pakistani air bases in response to significant provocations and escalating hostilities over the past two days, news agency ANI reported, citing sources.
