Parliament Security Breach: Five of the six accused have given their consent for the polygraph test in the case while two have agreed to narco analysis and brain mapping as well, news agency ANI reported. Meanwhile, Neelam Azad has refused to give consent for the polygraph test.
Lalit Jha, the mastermind behind the whole plot in the Parliament security breach case, Mahesh Kumawat and Amol have given their consents for the polygraph test, while accused Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan gave their consents for the polygraph, narco analysis and brain mapping.
The Parliament security breach occurred on December 13 when Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan broke through security measures by jumping into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery and releasing yellow smoke from canisters.
Six accused have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the Parliament security breach case so far. They all are booked under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Recently, during the investigation, it was discovered that the whole Parliament attack was plotted on a social media group. The accused had created a WhatsApp group having a total of 7 to 8 members where they planned their strategy, news agency ANI reported citing sources. The accused shared the entire conspiracy to enter the Parliament building through this WhatsApp group.
The police had also revealed that the accused not only wanted to create chaos in the Parliament but also had many big plans including forming a political party because they felt it was the only way to put their views forth.
During the interrogation, Sagar Sharma, one of the two men who had jumped into the Parliament, revealed to the police that they had planned to set themselves ablaze outside Parliament, but it was later abandoned.
