Parliament Special Session: The government on Tuesday tabled the long-awaited Women's Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha, soon after shifting to the new Parliament Building, inaugurated earlier this year. The bill proposes 33 per cent in Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and State Assemblies. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the MPs to the new Parliament building shortly after his address to a joint sitting of the House in the old building. In his speech, PM Modi listed some of the landmark legislations passed in the old Parliament building. Celebrations broke out across the nation as the government tabled the women's reservation bill.
