Parliament Winter Session Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead the debate on the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram' on Monday. The debate is likely to add fuel to the ideological debate between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party. While Vande Mataram was one of the most sung songs during the Independence movement, the saffron party leaders claim that the cultural part of the song was removed. While the opposition parties wanted a debate on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, the centre insisted on conducting the Vande Mataram first. Apart from the prime minister, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are also likely to participate in the debate in the lower house.
