Indian passengers traveling from Mumbai to Manchester, who have been stranded at Kuwait airport for 13 hours, have expressed frustration over several issues including the lack of food and assistance.
Taking to X, a passenger, named Shivansh alleged that all those who had British passport got their hotels, while the Indians are stranded without any information or any kind of help. The man also tagged External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in his post, seeking his help.
"Reading WHY BHARAT MATTERS while getting stuck in Kuwait without any help. All British Passport holders got their hotels sorted with On-arrival visa while #IndianPassport holders have been left stranded without any info, food, or any kind of help. @DrSJaishankar @GulfAir," read his post on X.
"Please help and provide us visa so that at least we can get a hotel and wait for the next flight," it added.

Reportedly, some passengers also alleged harassment and claimed that the airline has provided accommodation to only EU,UK & US citizens.
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait also responded to the sameand wrote on X, "Embassy @indembkwt had immediately taken up the matter with Gulf Air in Kuwait. A team from Embassy is at the airport to assist the passengers and coordinate with the airline. Passengers have been accommodated in 2 airport lounges."

Gulf Air has yet not responded to the same.
According to Arzoo Singh, a passenger quoted by NDTV, the authorities at Kuwait airport said that the passengers were not only denied the lounge access but food and blankets too.
"I am saying this on live television. They said 'if you're entitled passport holders, and Indians and Pakistanis are not entitled passport holders', they literally told us if you're entitled for a transit visa, only then we can put you in a hotel outside," Singh was quoted as saying by NDTV.
"We asked them what about us, people who are not 'entitled' as you say? They said we will get back to you. We ran behind them for nearly two hours, only after that we got lounge access. We asked for blankets, we asked for food. They didn't give. No one even gave us water for the first four hours," she added.
