The 20th instalment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi was credited on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 20th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana today, August 2, 2025, from Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency.
This instalment will benefit approximately 9.7 crore farmers nationwide, with Rs 2,000 credited directly to their bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
To receive the instalment, farmers must have completed their e-KYC and have valid land records. Those who haven't completed e-KYC may face issues with payment. Upon receiving the funds, farmers will get an SMS alert on their mobile.
How To Check Beneficiaries' Status
Beneficiaries can check the status of their payment, whether they have received the instalment or not. To check the PM-KISAN beneficiary status, follow these steps-
1. Visit the official PM-KISAN website.
2. Click on "Farmer Corner" and select "Beneficiary Status."
3. Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, or bank account number.
4. Check your status.
Status Verification:
- If the status shows "Yes" for e-KYC, Land Seeding, and Aadhaar-Bank Seeding, you're likely to receive the payment.
- If the status shows "No" for any of these, you'll need to make the necessary corrections.
Payment Confirmation:
- Once the payment is transferred, you'll receive an SMS alert on your mobile.
What Is PM KISAN
The Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme was formally launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24, 2019, in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Under this initiative, small and marginal farmers receive an annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000, disbursed in three equal instalments directly into their bank accounts to support their agricultural needs.
