PM Modi's Bihar Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bihar's Purnea district on Monday, where he is expected to address a crowd and launch projects worth Rs 36,000 crore. The prime minister's visit is crucial with just a few months remaining in the much-awaited Bihar assembly election. PM Modi will inaugurate a newly developed airport terminal and is also likely to inaugurate the National Makhana Board. While the airport terminal is likely to significantly boost connectivity, the Makhana Board will improve financial activities and generate thousands of jobs in the city.
PM Modi to visit Purnea:
- The prime minister will launch projects worth Rs 36,000 crore.

- PM Modi will participate in Griha Pravesh ceremonies for more than 40,000 PMAY scheme beneficiaries.

- The prime minister will also distribute Rs 500 crore to self-help groups.
- Vehicular movement on the state and national highway will remain suspended.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Samrat Choudhary stated that the double-engine government has massively benefited the state. "In his 11 years of tenure, Modi has gifted Bihar development projects worth about ₹1.50 lakh-crore. Tomorrow, there will be another bonanza. The state is enjoying the fruits of having a double-engine government", Choudhary was quoted as saying by PTI. Earlier on August 22, PM Modi also launched several development projects in Bihar worth Rs 13,000 crore.
With just a few months remaining in the election, both the major alliances, NDA and INDIA-Bloc, have commenced the ticket distribution process. While the NDA, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, will try to repeat the government, the opposition alliance will try to make a comeback under the leadership of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.
