Prime Minister Narendra Modi has broken his silence on the recent Parliament security breach, describing it as a "serious issue." In his first response since the incident on December 13, the Prime Minister acknowledged the gravity of the situation and appealed to refrain from instigating debate or resistance, and called for a thorough investigation to identify and implement effective solutions.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a conversation with Dainik Jagran acknowledged the recent Parliament security breach and said that its seriousness should not be underestimated. Modi revealed that the government is actively working to take all necessary measures to address the breach and enhance security protocols.

“The seriousness of the incident that happened in Parliament should not be underestimated at all. The Speaker sir is taking necessary steps with full seriousness. The investigating agencies are investigating the matter strictly. It is important for us to go deep into the matter to understand what are the elements and intentions behind this. Solutions should also be found with one mind. Everyone should avoid debate or resistance on such topics,” PM Modi was quoted as saying.

On December 13 during the Parliament’s winter session, in a major security breach, two intruders jumped from the visitor’s gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber carrying canister gas. The incident created panic, however, MPs confronted the intruder and held him. Two other protesters were arrested from outside the Parliament in connection with the same.

The police have arrested six accused so far in connection to the security breach incident. The arrested individuals include Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Neelam Azad, Amol Shinde, Lalit Jha, and Mahesh Kumawat. All the accused have been sent to seven-day judicial custody.

PM Modi when asked regarding Article 370, said “Brahmand ki koi bhi takat ab Article 370 ki vaapsi nahin kara sakti, lihaza sakaratmat karya main lagen (No force in the universe can make the return of Article 370 possible now, so get involved in positive work).”
