PM Modi Tejas Flight: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a sortie in Tejas aircraft in Karnataka's Bengaluru on Friday. According to ANI, PM flew in indigenous Tejas aircraft. The PM shared the exhilarating news in a post on X in which he added a few photos of his exclusive flight.
"Successfully completed a sortie on the Tejas. The experience was incredibly enriching, significantly bolstering my confidence in our country's indigenous capabilities, and leaving me with a renewed sense of pride and optimism about our national potential," He wrote.
A video of the sortie was also shared by the ANI on its 'X' handle.

While sharing a post in Hindi, he said that India is no less than anyone in the field of self-reliance.
"Flying in Tejas today, I can say with immense pride that due to our hard work and dedication, we are no less than anyone in the world in the field of self-reliance."

The LCA Tejas, designed as a 4.5 generation, all-weather, and multi-role fighter aircraft, stands out as a crucial component in India's defence capabilities. Engineered for versatility, the aircraft is equipped to handle offensive air support, engage in close combat, and execute ground attack roles with ease. Additionally, its design enables it to undertake Ground Maritime Operations, showcasing its adaptability across various strategic scenarios.
Earlier, the Cabinet Committee on Security has given the go-ahead for the development of the LCA Mark 2 fighter aircraft. This aircraft is slated to serve as a replacement for the Mirage 2000, Jaguar, and MiG-29 combat aircraft currently in operation within the Indian Air Force.
