Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a hearty welcome by the members of the Indian diaspora upon his arrival on Wednesday at a hotel in Singapore. PM Modi even attempted to play a "dhol" during the crowd's performance to greet him.

When PM Modi arrived at the hotel, a woman tied a rakhi to him, and he signed an autograph for one of the participants.

While they awaited his arrival, he shook hands and said hello to members of the Indian diaspora. Additionally, artists gave performances at the hotel to greet PM Modi.

PM Modi landed at Changi Airport for his two-day trip to Singapore. Upon his arrival, he stated that he was looking forward to several talks aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
Taking to X, PM Modi stated, "Landed in Singapore. Looking forward to the various meetings aimed at boosting the India-Singapore friendship. India's reforms and the talent of our Yuva Shakti makes our nation an ideal investment destination. We also look forward to closer cultural ties."

PM Modi was greeted by Simon Wong, Singapore's high commissioner to India, and Indian High Commissioner to Singapore Shilpak Ambule as he arrived at Changai airport from Brunei, among other authorities.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), during his visit, PM Modi and Lawrence Wong will discuss topics of common interest in the region and around the world as well as assess the state of the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership.
PM Modi will speak with Singaporean officials and make a call to President Tharman Shanmugaratnam of Singapore. Additionally, he will meet with Singaporean business leaders. PM Modi was in Brunei on an official visit before his trip to Singapore.
PM Modi and Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah had "wide ranging" discussions earlier in the day at Istana Nurul Iman in Bandar Seri Begawan. The two leaders talked about how to strengthen their bilateral relations during their discussions.
